Description
The astonishing Église Saint-Aubin has many treasures to admire: its restored panelled vault is entirely painted, as are the small figures and sculpted panels in the grotesque style, very fashionable in the 16th century. Replacing an earlier 12th-century building, the church is in the Renaissance tradition of the Vexin Normand region, with its Latin cross plan, alternating white stone, cut flint and local sandstone walls and porch.
