Description
The Summer Folks - Johana Giacardi When did Molière's golden age truly occur? In the instability of his early years or in the comfort of his later years? The Summer Folks take the liberty of recounting Molière's life according to their own interpretation of the theater of that era. Creating legends from known elements, distorting reality, exaggerating the outlandish nature of his life, inventing an ideal life, perhaps, holding onto the thread of our own ideal… As in Molière's time, five actresses create the show in real time around a trestle stage, in a three-sided arrangement that invites us to enter into their story and the story of the theater.
