Over the centuries, Étrapagny has welcomed several sovereigns and illustrious figures.
Their visits gave rise to a precious parchment—a true treasure of the town—that tells its story and preserves the memory of the kings who stayed there.
But in 1870, as the war against Prussia threatened Épagny, Isabelle de Vatimesnil, the town’s chatelaine and benefactress, hid the scroll away so that it would never fall into the wrong hands.
Since that day, no one knows where it is hidden. Can you track it down?
