Looking for a relaxing and discovery-filled family experience? This summer, the Mother-of-Pearl and Tablet Museum invites you to enjoy Free Fridays. Every Friday afternoon, in addition to the shows on offer, the museum comes alive with spontaneous guided tours, activities, and demonstrations showcasing its unique expertise. A great opportunity to (re)discover the museum for free, in a lively and friendly atmosphere. The Compagnie de la Fortune offers an original and captivating show: "Heritage: Monuments and People." Did you know that the 1913 law on the protection of historic monuments took nearly a century to come into being? This show takes us behind the scenes of this slow development through a fictional but fascinating encounter between four major figures: Victor Hugo, Prosper Mérimée, John Ruskin, and Viollet-le-Duc. Their lively and sometimes contradictory exchanges shed light on the debates of ideas, opposing visions, and the challenges surrounding heritage preservation. A fun and intelligent way to revisit the cultural and architectural history of France. A meeting for those curious about history, culture, and debate... not to be missed. All audiences
