Come to the Mother-of-Pearl and Tabletware Museum for the 20th edition of the European Night of Museums. From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Things are going to change: who will lead the dance? The Kalam' company, under the artistic direction of Véronique Frélaut, offers a journey of choreographic impromptu between the interior and exterior architecture of the Mother-of-Pearl and Tabletware Museum. A musician and accomplice dancers will invite you to share dance games around the world of shells, machines and fans in resonance with the choreographic research of five classes that you can see on video. From 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: As part of the operation “The class, the work!”, the museum offers you an artistic reinterpretation of the collections of the Mother-of-Pearl and Tabletware Museum through the eyes of children from six classes of kindergarten to college in the presence of students from Sainte-Geneviève who will play the role of mediators for one evening! (from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.). Choreographies will be broadcast on video along the tour which will also include an exhibition of poetic cyanotypes. The guides will also be there to show you the reconstructed buttonmaking workshops, powered by the museum's century-old steam engine!
