For the 2026 European Artistic Crafts Days (JEMA), the museum invites the public to take a step further into the heart of the creative process. While the workshops are usually open to the public, these days offer a rare experience: the chance to get hands-on with the material through unique workshops led by the museum's artisans, living custodians of the traditional skills of button making. Button Workshop – In the Shoes of a Button Maker: Immerse yourself in the history of mother-of-pearl button making by discovering two key stages in the production chain. A short but immersive workshop to understand the ingenuity and precision of the techniques of yesteryear, still relevant today at the museum.
